Pharmco Plans New Protein Launch for China

March 12, 2004: Pharmco International, Inc. announced today that they will be launching a protein line of products for market in Mainland China planned for launch during the 4th quarter of 2004. This venture is to further develop the company’s initiative into the “phood” industry.

As a company spokesperson states, “with the Chinese population’s diet lacking in so many nutritional areas, we want to concentrate on developing products that are more preventative in nature as opposed to pharmaceutical products that are more reactive and are taken in response to a physical need…we believe our new protein line will fit that mold and provide more nutrients to the population’s diet, therefore, helping to prevent diseases caused by nutritional deficiencies.”

Pharmco plans to launch the protein line of products under its Maxorb brand name. Company representatives state that the initial launch will be a protein meal replacement product for market in all of the major cities within Mainland China. The meal replacement product will be available in three formulations: Adult, Children’s and Sport. All of these formulations are to be available in three flavors: Chocolate, Almond and Strawberry.

Company released timeline has the three formulations staggered through the 4th quarter of 2004 to the 1st quarter of 2005.
